With full hearts we honor the life, service, and legacy of Romona “Ro”. Rocha, LPN. We remember not only the nurse she became, but the person she was compassionate, steady, devoted, and deeply called to care for others. In 1997, Ramona “Ro” graduated from Willow Street Vo-Tech LPN program. She worked her entire career in nursing homes and extended care facilities. She was employed at the former Audubon Villa for most of the time, where she served as the Personal Care Administrator. At the time of her passing, she was employed at Kadima in Lititz. She received nursing awards for her care and service. Her career spanned 29 years as an LPN.
As nurses, we know that the work is not measured only in years served, shifts worked, or places of employment. It is measured in the lives touched, the hands held, the families supported, and the moments when a nurse chooses to stay present even when the work is heavy. Romona “Ro” carried that responsibility with grace. She gave of herself in ways that many may never fully know, but that will never be forgotten.
The Nurse Honor Guard stands in respect for Ramona’s “Ro” service. We recognize her as one of our own—a nurse who answered the call, wore the title with honor, and carried the responsibility of caring for others with devotion. Her legacy lives on in every life she touched, every patient she comforted, and every act of care given in her memory.
Romona “Ro” we honor you. We honor the nurse you were, the compassion you shared, the courage you carried, and the healing presence you offered so freely. We thank you for your years of service and for your dedication.
